a young woman with a burning passion for making others uncomfortable. utako lacks all sense of shame, unafraid of asking intrusive questions. she also gets a kick out of telling blatant lies, making inane potty jokes involving one's mother, and fabricating wild adventures—all with a straight face. in fact, her face rarely ever displays anything but total seriousness and utter dispassion for life, despite her personality being the complete opposite of reserved. unfortunately, lame pick up lines come more easily than expressions. it used to bother her when utako was going through puberty, but not by much considering how easygoing she was and continues to be. honestly, her laidback attitude will probably never get her anywhere.

utako takes things as they come and, while this means that she's open-minded, it also demonstrates how trusting she is in others. it's not that she isn't necessarily gullible, but utako would never willingly believe that anyone in sees would betray each other (if such an occasion arose). with that said, utako herself is fiercely loyal to sees and the people she fights with. while she isn't anti-social by all means, utako isn't considered all that approachable, due to her deceptively calm and straight-laced demeanor. rather, her presence can be a bit intimidating at times. however, utako is genuinely good-natured, rarely losing her temper with others.

utako wields two handed daggers, striking quickly and efficiently. previously, she had tried her hand at wielding a halberd of all things into battle, because she felt like it did more damage. however, due to her stature, things hadn't work out as she had planned—meaning utako had ended up tripping more than once while attacking a shadow—and proved to be more of a threat than her team's actual enemies whenever she swung the weapon. being demoted to mere daggers was quite a blow to her self-esteem, considering how she was on the assault team and was supposed to hit hard.

personally, utako doesn't have much of a preferrence when it comes to fighting. she'll adapt to any situation and use any means with what she has to take down the shadow as quickly as possible. battle isn't a game to her nor does she feel anything upon defeating her enemies—nothing but a sense of relief that the battle is over at last.
