with a katana in hand, shirona likes to do things the old fashioned way. she'll be on the front lines, but prefers to not have herself too close, so that she can analyze and think about her next move in battle. while not in action, she will stay in a position of defense or one that'll allow her to easily evade. while attacking, she goes all out with strong attacks that are laid down to take her opponent down quickly and effectively. being nimble, some of her actions might seem unusual. shirona builds extra momentum for her attacks by doing a full 360˚ pivot or sprinting right towards her opponent.

ADDITIONAL NOTES,
i. never touch or question shirona's shades. it would be just about as offensive as starting a stream of 'yo daddy' jokes with her! which she would win, so don't even try. she will make it so that you'll never be able to look yo daddy in the eye again.
ii. shiro is the daughter of two conflicting musicians. their genres were so opposing that they would argue about the most ridiculous things. they saw their arts differently and those arguments always leaked into other aspects of their life, which quickly lead to their divorce.
iii. mr. yanagi is shirona's primary provider. she was raised by him mostly single-handedly since age three. from this, she has a strained relationship with her mother, cannot understand basic female behavior, and somehow mysteriously finds herself being the owner of the biggest "pair" in the group of her male friends.
iv. expect random phrases of english. during long breaks from school, shirona traveled around with her father. they spent a lot of time in america and she obviously had to eventually learn english to get around. it is a second language to her and she enjoys deploying their weird, diverse slang to confuse people.
v. shirona volunteered for one of the leading positions. the position of co-leader had more appeal to her because it required more socialization with the group. as an upperclassman, she felt morally obligated to help and guide the younger members of sees.

INFORMATION,
the phoenix is a mythical firebird with a tail of gold and red plumage. it is said that their down and tears are capable of healing or even temporarily making someone immune to death. they have a 500 to 1000 year life-cycle. towards the end of which, it builds a nest and and ignites itself. from the ashes, a young phoenix or phoenix egg arises and the creature is born anew.
