PROFESSION,
Laika is a THIRD-YEAR STUDENT at Gekkoukan High School. She is also on the KENDO TEAM and WORKS part-time at the ORPHANAGE.
PERSONALITY,
Laika is a very SWEET person, despite all that she has been through. She CARES DEEPLY for others, and has an almost maternal need to take care of those who are at a disadvantage. She has a strong sense of JUSTICE and a very lawful MORAL COMPASS, always wanting to be on the side of what is right and fair and fighting for those who need it most. She is extremely POLITE, AGREEABLE and thusly EASY TO GET ALONG WITH. She is neither overly concerned with being right nor getting her own way, and is a natural peacekeeper and balancer, able to occupy any role in a pair or group in order to keep things running smoothly. LOYAL to no end, Laika bonds quickly and closely with those she aligns herself with and will treat them like family until they give her no more reason to. Laika is NATURALLY PERSUASIVE and CHARMING, able to talk easily to anyone and speak convincingly without being pushy or overbearing.
This is not to say that Laika is without her faults. For one, she is extremely SENSITIVE. She is easy and quick to forgive, but just as easily, if not moreso, to be hurt by careless or misinterpreted words or actions. Due to her background, she has somewhat LOWERED SELF-ESTEEM and uses her abilities to please people and bring them together to bolster her own self-worth and happiness, which is not always dependable. Laika, having been without a family or friends for an extended period of time, HATES TO BE ALONE and will sink into a deep despair if she feels unneeded or discarded by people she considers friends. She has a degree of SKEPTICISM which is greater than that which might be considered normal by most others. She is quick to want to please someone, but not so quick to trust and keeps walls up, even around people she has known for years. Constantly afraid of losing everything which she has, Laika has a great amount of PRESSURE and ANXIETY.
LIKES & DISLIKES,
Laika likes FISH both living in bowls and ponds, as well as on the dinner plate. She also has a soft spot for RODENTS, particularly RATS. Laika also likes TECHNOLOGY, TEA and EXERCISING AND EATING HEALTHY.
She is not a very big fan of CATS. She also does not much care for MANGOES. Laika does not like DOCTORS, COLD WEATHER or DISHONEST PEOPLE.

Laika's persona is HARITI. Her arcana is that of the PRIESTESS. She is AWAKENED.
ADDITIONAL NOTES,
Laika was born to a pair of parents in Ryukyu who were still just children, themselves. Selfish and immature, they constantly shuffled the child from each other, to grandparent to grandparent to grandparent to grandparent: the only four people who wanted the child less than her own parents. At seven years old, Laika was discovered alone in a near-gutted out house, abandoned there when her paternal grandparents moved to a retirement community and rather than fight the battle of getting someone else to take her, they just left her in the empty house in the dead of winter.
Left to the care of the orphanage, Laika had a lot of learning and un-learning to do. Inappropriate behaviors on the part of her parents and grandparents were interpreted as normal to the child, such as yelling, swearing, hitting and harsh words. It was a long time in happening, and her behavior and history cost her years of possibly finding a family to take her in. But slowly and surely, Laika learned to care, to love. Laika learned to speak quietly, to touch gently. She learned what it was to have friends, and they became her family, valued just as closely. But as time went on, her friends and family began to diminish and change. Little brothers and sisters would find happy new homes with families who wanted them. Older brothers and sisters would grow up, leave the orphanage and start new lives of their own.
But where would this leave Laika, who was too old to be wanted but too young to leave on her own? In her loneliness, her potential manifested and Hariti awakened to comfort Laika, to remind her that she was not alone. That she was capable of being loved, and could and would be valuable to others. Laika tried to tell the others in the orphanage about the strange woman who would visit her in the night and tell her stories and ease her fears, but this only served to distance her from some of the more skeptical kids. One older ward, though, would believe and understand the disjointed stories Laika told.
He told her not to say anymore to anyone about it, and in exchange, he would teach her to call upon her newfound power, to hone it and make it truly her own. He secured Laika her very own Evoker, and together, they braved the Dark Hour for more than two years before he was removed from the orphanage. Laika never saw him again, but forever held onto the knowledge and friendship that he showed to her. This brought about a shift in Laika. she began to be more upbeat, to laugh a little more and help her little brothers and sisters. If she was going to protect them at night, then she could also make their days better. She decided that once she was old enough to leave the orphanage, she would stay and help the next generation. Upon turning eighteen years old, she took a job as an assistant there, planning to go to college so that she could return and do more good for the place and the people who helped her piece her life back together. So that she could do more good for the place and the people she would put her life on the line for once the clock struck midnight.

STRENGTHS & WEAKNESSES,
Hariti is a very accomplished agent of RECOVERY. She NULLIFIES BUFU. She is WEAK against ZIO and RESISTS GARU.
Her MAGIC AND LUCK are well ABOVE AVERAGE. Her ENDURANCE AND AGILITY are UNREMARKABLE and her STRENGTH is a bit LOW.
SKILL SET,
DIARAHAN- Fully restores an ally's RP
MARAKUKAJA- Increase's party's defense for 3 turns.
ARROW RAIN-Deals heavy physical damage to all foes x2.
SAMARECARM- Revives an ally with full HP.
*Using this ability is a double-edged sword: The life-force used to revive the ally comes directly from Hariti and Laika, thus weakening them considerably for a few days. This manifests in Laika as her being "under the weather" for a few days and usually refraining from visiting Tartarus.

Hariti is a very motherly figure and therefore very valuable to Laika, who sees her persona as something of the maternal protector she's wanted all her life but never had. In truth, Hariti manifested as Laika's wish to protect everyone and care for them the way she never had been :a wish for no one to ever have to feel the way that she did.
