KIMIKO TOKISAKA ( If you would, kindly let me. . . Fade to Black )
NAME,
Kimiko “Hime” Tokisaka
NICKNAME,
Anything could be used, though Kimiko rarely responds to or acknowledges nicknames.
AGE,
Nineteen
GENDER & PREFERENCE,
Female; Kimiko has expressed an interest in both genders in the past, though, due to recent events, her general interest in others has dwindled, and her sexual interest has all but been killed, thus making her more asexual than anything.
PROFESSION,
Unemployed; student, third year, after being held back a year for various reasons
PERSONALITY,
In the past, Kimiko had been described as charismatic, destructive, confident, reliable, and completely sadistic. She was very much a capable leader, even if she was only an heiress rather than in charge, and was an equally capable interrogations specialist. Her lack of compassion for enemies, as well as her brutally sadistic and coldly efficient planning, earned her the title of “Devil Queen” among her peers- a title spoken with awe and respect rather than fear or disgust. But that? That was all before her fall from glory.
Now, Kimiko is more a shell than a person, a husk moving about in a routine and trained process to get from point A to point B. That said, Kimiko has become increasingly morbid and depressed over the recent months. More often than not, she takes an apathetic outlook on things that do not directly involve her- and, even when they do involve her, they seldom draw out the full response the old-her would produce. One could even claim she had the patience of a saint due to her apathy and general lack of incentive. Quick to take up the role of the constant pessimist, she stubbornly crushes any sense of hope or optimism that spews from someone's mouth if it's directed at her.
Even so, Kimiko is not without redeeming traits, even now. When she can be bothered out of her slump, she's very observant. While almost sadistically blunt at times, she is honest. Still unwilling to degrade herself, she prefers to rely only on herself- though, sometimes, she has little, if any, say in the matter. Some could consider almost impersonal at times, but she's exceedingly polite- if not rigidly formal. It takes a ridiculous amount of annoyance to break her stoic mask to the point that would resort to verbal counterattacks, and she's beyond acting crude to someone simply because of the way they are- in the case of people that are annoying simply due to their energy.
But, though Kimiko is mostly a shell now, she is not truly empty. Her body is a husk simply awaiting the reawakening of the Devil inside. Occasionally, it can be provoked to rear its head, and the young woman is more than capable of unleashing verbal hell on another person. All she needs is a good stimulus- a proper jolt to wake up. Once that happens, the Devil can stride about proudly once more.

ADDITIONAL NOTES,
-History-
Kimiko was the third child of a Yuko and Takeru Shigamoto. The other two children were three and four at the time of her birth. For the most part, the girl had a normal childhood up until she turned six. At that time, Kimiko's mother, who had been having a number of disagreements with her father, finally let greed take her over as she resorted to arson, intending to take the money from the family's life insurance to have a comfortable life while she found herself a boy toy. There were a few problems with this. Firstly, Takeru managed to escape immediate death, and he did, in fact, save Kimiko. Secondly, Takeru had made a blood-pact with a great friend of his- the head honcho of an old-fashioned group of yakuza.
Though Takeru died of severe burns, and Kimiko suffered minor burns along her right arm, Kimiko did in fact survive, and she also learned that not only was her mother responsible for everything, but that the group had already apprehended her and intended to make her last day on earth exceedingly painful. Kimiko was more fond of her father, a bit of a daddy's girl, and knowing that her mother was responsible for papa's untimely demise was enough to make the girl juuuuust little odd in the head. She wanted to be the one that took care of her mother, since her father always said that good and bad deeds had to be rewarded appropriately.
Physically, she was unable to perform, however, and the acting head was really reluctant to let the girl do anything that would ruin her innocence. Still, a compromise was reached in which Kimiko would relay to the men how to torture her mother. Through the process, the girl became fascinated with the act of causing another's pain- if they deserved it. Ultimately, this is where the girl became just a little twisted, and where her growth into the person she would become truly started.
Fast-forward four years. Kimiko was ten and was learning about human anatomy before she would be officially allowed to actually torture anyone. The head had hoped that learning about the body and how easy it was to break would maybe steer her away from her interests. At age twelve, Kimiko was finally allowed to indulge in her dark desire for torture. She had a good imagination, and that showed itself quite clearly after she proved to be a monster in the interrogation rooms. She never killed anybody, though- just hurt them severely and delicately, almost lovingly, one might have said. Despite the nature of the craft, the girl turned her work into a form of artwork, almost. She had her standards in regards to those she took the knife- or hammer, chisel, candle, or whatever- to, however. She refused to give her delicate treatment to anyone that she did not see as guilty of something with definitive evidence.
Years went by and the girl picked up a number of bad habits and the nasty condition known as insomnia. By the time she entered high school, the young lady had begun to only attend class as often as was required, doing just enough work to get by- often spending the rest of her attendance in the infirmary to attempt to take naps. Her test scores were enough to show that she at least took care to study, however.
Around the time that her final year in high school began, the yakuza group had had to deal with problematic pests that the head considered a plague. Her insomnia had already benefited her plenty over the years, due to all the free time to apply to whatever fields she desired, but she then focused most of that liberated time towards the acquisition of information, trading and selling the stuff far more seriously than she had in the past, and using her gains to further aid her “family”. The two aliases she took up around that time were inspired by stories she had read- Moneymaker was a hacker in a cyberpunk novel she had found herself fond of, while “Maou” was the anti-hero of another story.
For the most part, the plague was nothing but a nuisance, but, shortly before her eighteenth birthday, that group had managed to buy out one of the members of Kimiko's “family”- the cook, specifically. On her eighteenth birthday, the main course was poisoned. Kimiko, being the sort to opt out of appetizers, had a lead on everybody by eating the poisoned food first. That was why she was the only one successfully poisoned.
Suffering from major internal bleeding along with neurological damage, the young lady was hospitalized. What should have, according to the doctors, been fatal ended up being just a close call. Within twenty-four hours of her being hospitalized, she waltzed back into the manor and took her first life- the traitorous cook that had hoped to kill everyone with his poison. Driven purely by anger, apparently, the woman used every last bit of her energy to turn the man into a pin-cushion with a rather nasty butcher's knife. Needless to say, the body conveniently disappeared without any signs of having ever been there.
Though she survived, the poison had left its mark on the young lady. She already had weaker lungs than most, but the damage to her stomach, and esophagus made it worse. Luckily, most of the internal injuries healed, though a number left their marks. In the weeks following the incident, the young lady found it difficult to eat- the act of swallowing just about anything turning out to be an ordeal from hell. Her stomach often refused to admit food as well, causing Kimiko to often abstain from eating or drinking for several days. This caused her physical condition to deteriorate, and for her emotional stability to break down.
By the end of the year, the young lady had considered killing herself. Hunger pains met with the pains from eating. Her complexion had been ghostly pale since the incident. She found it hard to concentrate on her work, often tiring out long before she could even begin torturing anybody. Her condition was comparable to extreme chronic anemia- and many would question if she was about to develop that in earnest, going by her lack of a proper diet.
Under close supervision, her physical condition improved slightly- only slightly- but her emotional health was down the gutter. Tensions between the two groups had escalated greatly in the time since the incident, but an outright gangwar had not yet broken out. Fearing that as the inevitable outcome, the leader decided to send Kimiko away- for her safety as much as for a change of scenery. He hoped that doing so would improve her emotion condition. Once the plans had been finalized, Kimiko found herself being shipped off to the Tatsumi Port Island region.
Entering her senior year a second time at Gekkoukan, the young woman had few hopes for the following year. Her ability to hold down food had considerably improved, but, even so, her mentality had yet to properly recover.
-Fun Facts-
-Prior to the poisoning, Kimiko's hair had been completely black and extremely long. A side-effect of the poisoning was that her hair had, oddly, become a slightly lighter color at the roots. Though appalled, the woman had no way to combat the issue in a proper manner, and simply gave in, lopping her hair off to let the new color grow in.
-Kimiko is fond of both literature and music. She absolutely loathes tacky endings on good stories, or spin-offs that seem to exist for the sole sake of getting money out of the fans. For music, she's fairly open, opting to enjoy singular tracks rather than worry too much about genres- though she's a bit hypocritical on that, since she's a vocal supporter of classical music, when she can be bothered to give her opinions.
-On her right arm, a scar from minor burns still persist, reaching from hand to midway between her elbow and shoulder on the outer side.
-Though she has otherwise fine eyesight, Kimiko's long-time dwelling in the dark while staring at a screen has led to her to develop extreme photo-sensitivity. While she can see almost perfectly in the dark, the moment she's exposed to sunlight, she often has to take a few minutes (yes, literal minutes, not a figure of speech) to properly adjust.
-Kimiko has a mild fear of dogs, and a full-fledged phobia in regards to large bodies of water and heights. She's also not very fond of most large, carnivorous animals or spiders or ants. Oddly, she's fine with wolves. She considers them to be more “graceful” than the common dog, and believes them to be more “reasonable” than other carnivores.
-At the present, Kimiko pops anywhere from fifteen to thirty pills a day. This number consists of painkillers, vitamin supplements, and anti-depressants.
-Though her insomnia has all but left her, Kimiko is really no better for wear. Now, instead of lacking sleep, she can seldom be bothered to stay awake when she's at home. Her immune system also suffered, both from her insomnia and the poisoning, which has caused her to become sick on a number of occasions. Though they've lessened in severity and frequency, she also still suffers from migraines.
-While she's mostly recovered from the poisoning, her insides are still sensitive. Kimiko has to be careful when eating spicy or overly hot foods, or anything with very grainy or rough textures. Any of those can upset her stomach or grate her esophagus enough just to put her into a coughing fit. She's mostly safe in regards to provoked internal bleeding, at least.
-Kimiko currently lives alone and has no intentions of moving into the dormitories for Gekkoukan or inviting guards- because she knows they're lurking around her somewhere- to her private home.
-Despite her recent weakness and lapse in physical condition, Kimiko has a number of weapons distributed around her home in hiding spots, not to mention a number of traps that could easily be triggered by home invaders or legitimate attackers. Weapons strewn about include blades of various lengths and styles, as well as a 9mm handgun, and even an assault shotgun in the bedroom.
