PERSONALITY,

+ intelligent. The amount of time Mara spends reading and absorbing as much as possible pays off. She knows a lot of different things in a variety of areas, and has an easy time recalling all of it.
+ composed. At almost all times, Mara has on a mask of a mature, calm, imperturbable young woman on. It's not actually that hard to break it, so long as the right buttons are pushed, though, but since she does strive to be less melodramatic, anything meant to curtail that part of her personality is probably counted as good by those around her.
+ focused & hard-working. Give her a problem, and she won't stop working on it till it's solved.
+ pragmatic. If it doesn't make sense and benefit either her or Nocturne, it's a guarantee she won't do it. She's not an irrational, hyperactive crazy, after all. Every action is considered before it is done.
+ patient. She can wait, and she can do it without complaining.

- insecure. Mara buries her insecurity behind pretend maturity. Her ego is very fragile, though, and she can't handle attacks on it in a rational manner. Insult her, even if she hates you, and she's liable to believe the insult to be true. At the least, she'll agonize about it in her mind for months on end.
- easily bothered. Hit on her, and the composed mask will crumble away to a legitimate panic attack, or screaming anger, if she thinks it was done to deliberately annoy her. She has her hot buttons, and she'll explode for them.
- vengeful. Bother her, and she will seek revenge. No exceptions, unless you apologize to her or make up for it (brains out of the gutter, please).
- melodramatic. Anything bad that happens to her is the worst possible thing in the world, anything good that happens to her is the best possible thing in the world. She's either on an emotional high or an emotional low, whether or not it shows through her composed mask. There are no in betweens. When the mask comes off, the roller coaster gets a lot more evident.
- immature. Mara is a nine-year-old boy when it comes to romance and love. Elaboration should be unnecessary.

LIKES & DISLIKES,

+ birds. Anything avian is automatically amazing.
+ yellow. Her favorite color and a bit of an obsession, to be honest. If she could find lots of clothing in yellow, she probably wouldn't wear any other color. As it is, she can't find much in said color that isn't flowers or food.
+ her hair. Vanity (of appearance, not of self) is her greatest sin.
+ food. Specifically, salty and bitter tasting food. She can't get enough of that kind of taste.
+ pretty girls. You know those overly chivalrous boys who will bend over backwards if a pretty girl bursts into tears at them, just to make her happy again? Here's a secret, Mara's in their ranks, and for the same reasons. She'll deny liking them to the ends of the earth, of course, because liking anyone is embarrassing.
+ books. Reading is the only activity "mature" enough for Mara's high intellectual capabilities, so it only follows that it is what she spends all her time doing (when she isn't obsessing over her hair or doing things for Nocturne). Besides, it makes her seem older if she gives a disparaging look over the pages of a book.

- sweets. This stuff tastes disgusting, why do people like it? She just doesn't get it.
- having her hair messed with. She's got a lot of hair, she's vain - it adds up to absolute fits of rage when her hair is disturbed.
- being hit on. You can look, but you can't touch, and commenting is expressly forbidden. She isn't the type to scream and hit over being hit on, though. She's much more the type to go into a full-fledged panic attack or to just stare blankly at whoever did it, confused over the meaning of it. She isn't exactly the most knowledgeable about romantic things, so only the really obvious stuff gets panic attacks.
- people. Specifically, she dislikes: loud people, rude people, creepy people, young children, parents, domineering people, nosy people, bossy people, stupid people, people who dislike yellow, people who dislike birds, people who dislike books, people who prefer sweets to salty food, and contrary people.
- symbols of love. Mara is secretly a nine year old boy. Hearts are "EWWWWW", roses are "nasty", and lips touching is "oh my god that's disgusting, what is wrong with you!?"
- pants. Despite being incredibly modest, Mara cannot stand pants. Skirts are the only acceptable thing to wear over her legs, even though there's a higher propensity of accidental exposure. Honestly, her hatred of pants is entirely irrational.

ALLIANCE,

Mara is allied with Nocturne and does Defense.

WEAPON & TACTICS,

Mara uses a naginata primarily because it allows her to remain out of anything's reach, an important thing for someone as slight as she is. Her goal is to keep the opponent off of her - or someone else - while staying well out of the reach of being harmed by them.

ADDITIONAL NOTES,

Mara's a rich kid who was raised as a mini-adult. She was kept separate from other children, even her three older sisters, because her parents figured it was easier to raise them separately. Her caretakers were not the greatest or most responsible, and alternated between outright neglect and smothering control. She may attend Gekkoukan on her parents' dime, but she has absolutely no actual communication with them or her sisters.
